Louis Noël

Louis was born in Namur in 1994. He began studying the violin at the age of 5 at the Balthazar Florence Conservatory with Cécile Delvingt. Later, he joined the “Young Talents” section at IMEP (Institut supérieur de Musique et Pédagogie). There, he pursued his bachelor’s degree with Igor Tkatchouk and his master’s degree with Marc Danel. Concurrently, he studied law for a few years at the University of Namur.

After completing his Master’s at IMEP, he decided to further his skills under the guidance of Hed Yaron Meyerson at the Rotterdam Conservatory: Codarts. He also participated in masterclasses with renowned violinists such as Alexei Moshkov, Kerson Leong, Maria Milstein, Yossif Ivanov, Hélène Collerette, Robert Ushida, George Tudorache, Joe Puglia, Letizia Sciarone, Gilles Millet, and others.

During his years of study, Louis focused primarily on orchestral work, allowing him to perform with orchestras such as the Belgian National Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Residentie Orkest in The Hague, Phion Orkest van Gelderland en Overijssel, Antwerp Philharmonic Orchestra, Irish Chamber Orchestra, Young Belgian Strings, National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands, Hagse Kamer Orkest, Orchestre de la Francophonie in Montreal, Young Franco-German Philharmonic, and many others.

These experiences led him to perform in venues such as the Muziekverein in Vienna, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Doelen in Rotterdam, Chapelle Reine Elisabeth, Bozar, Shanghai Oriental Art Center, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Bayreuth Opera, Stadthalle Wuppertal, Atheneum in Bucharest, and numerous other prestigious halls. He is the recipient of several national and international awards, as well as a laureate of the “Fonds Thirionet.”

Louis plays on an instrument made in 2023 by the French luthier Antoine Cauche (https://cauche-luthier.com), which was loaned to him by the Strings for Talents fund and the King Baudouin Foundation.
