Agata Jonczak

Agata Jonczak, a gifted cellist from Kraków, began her musical journey at a young age and has since developed into an accomplished artist. In 2021, she graduated with honors from the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź, where she studied under Wojciech Fudala. She continued to refine her skills at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, completing her studies in 2023 with Jeroen Reuling.

Known for her exceptional talent, Agata has received recognition in numerous solo and chamber music competitions. Her achievements include First Prize at the National Competition in Radom, a finalist position at the National Competition of Contemporary Music in Radziejowice, and a special distinction at the Chamber Music Tournament in Bydgoszcz with the Venus String Quartet. She has performed extensively across Europe, gracing audiences in Belgium, France, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Austria, and Portugal. Her versatility as a musician has seen her collaborate with esteemed symphony orchestras, including the National Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia Varsovia, and the Polish Art Philharmonic. Additionally, she has played with respected chamber ensembles such as the STRINGendo Quartet, Marolles Ensemble, and the Venus String Quartet.

Agata has participated in prestigious musical events and performed at renowned venues such as the Wiener Musikverein, Bozar, the Kraków Philharmonic, and the National Forum of Music in Wrocław, among others.

Beyond classical music, Agata explores diverse genres, including jazz, rock, and film music. She is also a composer, arranger, and vocalist, showcasing her multifaceted talent and passion for musical expression.

Agata plays a cello crafted in 2020 by Tanguy Fraval, lent to her by Strings for Talent, a fund under the patronage of the King Baudouin Foundation.
